Karl Johans torg är en känd plats i Trollhättan, bland äldre invånare mer känd som "Tårtan".

Karl Johans torg omgärdas av Storgatan i väst, Polhemsgatan i norr, Österlånggatan i öst och Torggatan i syd. Torget ligger mellan "Hotell Scandic Swania" och "Villa Stranna" som tidigare bl.a. varit tingshus, bibliotek, HTU:s kårhus och nu är restaurang.

Mitt på torget är Axel Ebbes staty "Den heliga lågan" från 1936 placerad med en blomrabatt framför. Blomrabatten brukar visa något motiv som uppmärksammar något jubileum eller dylikt. I övrigt är det en grön oas med träd och blommor.
